Last Monday was my birthday. I thank all those who sent me greetings whether on twitter or facebook.
I had planned, and as all my plans go; LATE OR UNFULFILLED, at the beginning of the new year, to have a resolution. It was to release the new identity for my blog that I had in mind since last July.
To be honest, I worked a bit on it during this 16 days period, but I didn’t give it much time. I had several other priorities I had to finish first, and by the time I think of starting to work on this, I’d be tired, with a headache and sticky swirling eyes. I spend too much on the computer, either at work or at home and even on weekends. I follow the twitter timeline, I monitor the page I manage, I read some articles I find on my way, I shuffle through … FOOD BLOGS (here, I’ve said it, it’s my addiction)
I haven’t been giving my blog enough time, maybe because I didn’t have a plan that I should stick to. So, I’m making a plan, I’m organizing my work.
Until I finish the new identity, I will be planning everything from behind the curtains. And I should assign a release date to force myself to work harder.
And since I broke this resolution I had set for myself to accomplish in 16 day, I had decide to give myself a second chance. I don’t want this to end up as a half finished project that is going to rest under the bed with the rest of the half-finished and unfinished projects I’ve had. Therefore, I’m giving myself another due date, FIRST FEW DAYS OF FEBRUARY.
Even before setting a date, I have made myself get obsessed with finishing this project that took too much time.
The good news is; I have made progress. Logo proposals are there, concept is ready, blog header is being worked on and planning is being done. I just hope the client won’t be much of a jerk and takes it easy on me… Oh, it’s me, I’m my own client. Damn!
I have blabbered too much. Anyways, until the due date, this blog will be going under the knife and resting from the surgeries it will undergo.
